My love for looser fitting jeans...

Jeans, Jeans, Jeans!!!
I have had an obsession for about 7 years now and have been through every brand out there. I must say that with all the newer styles I find it hard to let go of the habit of loving jeans. Don't get me wrong I love pants and skirts too, but jeans always seem to win when I am playing in my closet. I will just have to be one of those gals that always loves her jeans. I am finding it is best just to embrace it instead of trying to fight it.

Anyone else have this problem?

So on to the favorite fit for the last couple months for me - Boyfriend jeans. Ya I know they are messy and sloppy looking, but the comfort level is beyond words. I have always liked to have a baggy pair in my wardrobe, since the 8th grade, but my obsession with comfort keeps growing and growing. After years of wearing snug jeans that would sometimes cut off my circulation, it is a nice change. I can not possibly be the only woman or man for that matter, that is enjoying the extra breathing room. I have no intentions of tossing out my skinny jeans but I am thinking it is best to have a well rounded denim collection. One of every style.

I have seen pictures recently of many celebs and even random everyday people wearing the style. Some are good, like really good, and some are really bad. It seems mainstream hasnt yet picked up this trend, or at least the ladies in my area havent embraced it yet. They all look at me like I am crazy. Hahaa. I Love it.

So the style isnt for everyone and is somewhat hard to pull off but I am embracing baggyness for now and plan on it until it is too cold to do so.
So a BIG thank you to all the wonderful designers who decided to give my hip bones a rest. Thank you for letting me have a bit of comfort.

New Frye Boots

So I am a little late to jump on this bandwagon.
Frye boots.
I actually had a pair about 8 years ago and they were the Campus boots. They were so ugly, The felt boxy and stiff, so I sold them. I am a heel gal, I live in heels, so my feet hate flat type boots or shoes.

But the older I get the more I think it is time to incorporate some flatter heels into the wardrobe.

This is how I ended up with my gorgeous new Frye Veronica slouch boots. Tough and mean with some attitude. They are biker girl tough yet also have a bit of girly girl softness all mixed together.

PERFECTO!

I am in love and can not believe I have waited so long to try the newer style fryes. These boots will live on my feet this winter!!

Fall Must haves...

Photos by Refinery 29

So today I was reading on refinery and saw they had the must haves out for this fall. After looking through this great site I notice I may be ahead of the game for once. Plaid shirts, slouchy blazers, rolled jeans(which I love) ankle trousers, Yes!!! I love all these things with a passion and have plenty to hold me over..Though I need to get my hands on a leather jacket, that won't break the bank. The grey one in the middle which I LOOOOVE is by Jenni Kayne and retails for $1700...ouch!!!

I am thinking all I really need is some gorgeous balenciaga open toe boots a leather jacket, and some more colored tights and I will be set!!!

My DRKSHDW'S Arrived and.......

I finally found a pair that fits!!!!! YAHOO. These jeans are gorgeous. I mean it only took 3 try's to get the right pair, and I would have been done had these not fit, but I am now hooked on these jeans. So here is the story. Ups guy comes I am excited like usual, open the box, run to bedroom to slip on, Cant get them buttoned!!!! I was not having this at all and was ready to pop, but remembered wet stretching which I usually have to do with all my raw denim, and within 2 hours they fit like a dream. YAAAAA!!!!

The wash is a gorgeous rusty brown overtone to a medium blue denim. As I played with them last night I couldnt for the life of me figure out what to do with the extra 6" hem. I usually hem all my jeans on my own, but with straight leg cuts I get freaky hemming since I like them at different lengths all the time. So here I go with the predictable rolling of my jeans. I think YES they are perfect. I look down and low and behold I see a selvage line. I had no idea Mr. RO used selvage denim. So I have to say that now I am happy.

The DRKSHDW jeans issue....

Soo, I have purchased three pairs of DRKSHDW jeans in the last few months. To be honest I have been less then impressed by the cut and fit for ladies. The first pair came and were a beautiful wash dirty and summery, but the leg seaming was a bit off and almost puckered at the meeting seams. Hmmm...I thought maybe I got a bunk pair, so I try again, second pair has different seaming, just fits like it is made for a guy (which is fine) But so not flattering on a womans body. So third try...again with the funky side seaming (like the pair pictured above), again puckered. I am thinking what the hell is going on with these jeans. Has anyone else had this problem with R.O's diffusion line or is it just me. I purchased my last and final pair last week. They will arrive via ups today. I really really hope they will work out. I made sure this time to bypass this stupid crazy seam thing.

Torn on which to choose...

Pictures from Acne.com
Which would you chose??
I have fallen in love with these Acne Tube jeans and although I already purchased them in the DC, or raw wash, I was thinking that maybe the black ones(cash) would be nice too for dinners and everyday errands with a white tee. I hate dilemas like this. What would you do? Buy both, or just wait and carry on with the denim ones?
I love the way a higher rise straight leg feels when it is on, there is just something classy about tucking in a tee and putting on heels with them. Since I am a mom I suppose it is ok to go with the Mom rise...Hahahaa.

A new thing....

For me fashion has become something I crave more and more each day. The more I seem to learn the more I am willing to try out. As I get older it seems that I seem to crave more age appropriate looks, yet sometimes I just want to add something crazy and run with it. My style has been all over the map since I was very young. I went through a punk phase in my teens were 20 hole docs and ripped stockings were the norm, then off to wearing frilly dresses and strappy greek sandals. I really hope I have picked up more style and learned what fits my body as I have aged!!!

After looking at blogs for the last year I have decided to give it a try myself. I hope it will be fun and I look forward to still watching my favorite bloggers daily.

I am new to this and obviously need to get the photo skills down, so I will work on it as I go.
